Last 04:33
Last I drag this poem ‘cross your weary thighs For the minstrel lays his head where he can cry And his gasps for air become your sultry sighs Time lingers for a moment before it dies Time lingers for a moment before it dies This window has a crack that looks like rain The storm held back by this ancient pane And the thunder breaks a silence once contained By the mercy that you offered me again By the mercy that you offered me again So we hold onto the throes of a clumsy dance Bluffing time with a broken gambler’s chance Letting go of futures free and the shackled past We never know which kiss will be our last No we never know which kiss will be our last As your voice cracked the sky in perfect song I wept and merely tried to hum along In a world that yearned to riddle me with shame Your ember came and saved this tired flame Your ember came and saved this tired flame We cling to every cloud we see above Just a wisp of flimsy vapor feels like love And the trees that try to teach us with the wind They sigh at our beginning and our end They sigh at our beginning and our end So we hold onto the throes of a clumsy dance Mocking time for a brief and cruel chance As the future forms the circle to our past We never know which kiss will be our last No we never know which kiss will be our last

Wheel 04:44
Wheel Prickly skin with a misty sheen Utopian hint from a wind unseen Seeking out the in between The ancient touch of our crumbling form Teaches nothing whilst in the storm Save a lyric, tired and forlorn Tear out a page, the tale remains The players, in a tome contains Such fragile joys, merely staggered pains Round and round the needle spins Ostinatos woven within The colors swirl to black again The colors swirl to black again The wheel hasn’t stopped Hasn’t started Hasn’t listened Round and round the names are christened A sense of wonder but a blinded vision Sends us to our final bliss and Then We spin again And then We spin again Another note, another rest How shall we choose which chord fits best? The riddle shows there is no test All does and doesn’t matter now We plead and churn and hope somehow That a prayer may yield a cosmic vow But no one’s picking up the phone The stars went out and the moon’s alone The atoms sleep so deep inside our bones Yet there exists a look, a smile The briefest touch will last a while So let’s trade our souls for days and miles Yes, let’s trade our souls for days and miles The wheel hasn’t stopped Hasn’t started Hasn’t listened Round and round the names are christened A sense of wonder but a blinded vision Sends us to our final bliss and Then We spin again And then We spin again

Heart 04:33
Heart Gonna tear this poetry down When no one’s left around I’ll finally rest beneath the ground And my end will soon begin before my start ‘Cause I just can’t stand to feel Gonna cauterize the wounds And hope that soon they will heal ‘Cause I just need reprieve from this black heart Yes I just need to leave behind this heart It’s all too much to bear And we’re scared of the lives That we never could repair As we tumble down the well of space and time And the ocean swallows us whole And we’re told that our souls Are more than bodies that we stole But the void whence we came ends this rhyme Gonna tear this poetry down When no one’s left around I’ll finally rest beneath the ground And my end will soon begin before my start ‘Cause I just can’t stand to feel Gonna cauterize the wounds And hope that soon they will heal ‘Cause I just need reprieve from this black heart Yes I just need to leave behind this heart All our moments come to pass And the ticking of our clocks Is just a vicious paradox As we halve the time it takes to reach the end Infinity’s always late As our fears are steeped in tears We create that which we hate As our love becomes the cut that never mends Gonna tear this poetry down When no one’s left around I’ll finally rest beneath the ground And my end will soon begin before my start ‘Cause I just can’t stand to feel Gonna cauterize the wounds And hope that soon they will heal ‘Cause I just need reprieve from this black heart Yes I just need to leave behind this heart Yes I just need to leave behind this heart Yes I just need to leave behind this heart Yes I just need to leave behind this heart

Tigers and Flowers I don’t say what you want me to say I don’t go where you need me to go I don’t always know to turn the lights down low ‘Cause then the shadows come out and start to dance with my soul And my soul doesn’t pray the way you want me to pray Because the church doesn’t search for ways to make us okay And we’re left with a mind that finds that time doesn’t care About the void that will leave us so broken and scared Though our time is ours We look for tigers instead of flowers There’s a world left unseen While we’re too busy being The fears and tears we wrap ourselves in I don’t know what you want me to know And I never thought it clever bringing others so low And I don’t see what you want me to see But my blindness isn’t kindness when you force it on me I don’t love the way you want me to love And I’ve loved all my life but it was never enough And you’re angry and you’re tired and the world’s not your friend But it could be if you’d just see that we’re all at the end Though our time is ours We look for tigers instead of flowers There’s a world left unseen While we’re too busy being The fears and tears we wrap ourselves in I don’t say what you want me to say I don’t go where you need me to go I don’t pray the way you want me to pray I don’t know what you want me to know I don’t see what you want me to see I don’t love the way you want me to love I don’t love the way you want me to love I don’t love the way you want me to love I don’t love the way you want me to love

Love Wrapped in Blue Oh look, there’s another one A second just passed Wait around and we’ll lose a few more These brief lives fly away If we blink, there’s a day As we sigh we lose all fourscore Oh time, are you listening? Could you stop here a while? We would smile if you slowed it all down Please don’t think us rude Entropy is your food But we’d rather our love stuck around So grab that old pail And bail a few years For our fears are both painful and true But we savor the flavor Of the sea and our boat As we float through this love wrapped in blue Oh what’s it all for If our lives are a lore From a tome that will never be read? And our stories just dust Brushed off from the cuff Of a man never woke from his bed When I’m old and I’m gray I won’t know what to say As I stare down the barrel of time As I lose my last light And embrace the night In the stars, our love will still shine So grab that old pail And bail a few years For our fears are both painful and true But we savor the flavor Of the sea and our boat As we float through this love wrapped in blue Yes! Grab that old pail And bail a few years For our fears are not all that we are As we savor the flavor Of the sea and our boat We will float on forever as stars! Yes, we’ll float on forever as stars!

Carry the Fire I hope the ones who love you Remember that things go fast Before any regrets set in About their hurried past I hope you’ll think to tell them That they’re always on your mind I hope you don’t carry anger If they’re leaving you behind None of us mean any harm None of us mean any harm We just can’t hear the alarm Until time has had its way I’ll hope for the gift of wisdom To not expect too much Not because the world will let you down It just doesn’t work as such There’s always goodness around you Even in the ones who’ve caused you hurt You don’t have to lay down and take more Or rub someone’s nose in the dirt None of them mean any harm None of them mean any harm If you can, reach out your arms But if not, know that’s okay Being human is tricky It can be such heavy work We separate from the world around We get muddled and caught in the murk This is a reminder to soften To let down your cannon-strewn walls I sing it not just for you over there But for all who wander these halls None of us mean any harm None of us mean any harm Try to move towards what is warm And carry the fire again And carry the fire again And carry the fire again

December for June While you are dancing in the void Through a sea of celluloid That captures photos blurred Where shadows fell There are cancers and disease That will tear at you with ease And some are made from thoughts Instead of cells The ember’s just a whimper In the darkness of your world And your lungs may fill with sorrow As you breathe The exit may seem simpler A folly that unfurls When today becomes tomorrow’s Sweet relief My love, my dear friend It’s not time to meet the end For I promise it will be here far too soon There is a room inside your mind A soft place one can find A space to trade December for June A space to trade December for June Though you’re steeped in deep confusion Keep your wits about illusion Just another brick that hides What is real For these clouds so versed at cheating - False storms and merely fleeting The ground and sky Aren’t all that you can feel The ember’s just a whimper In the darkness of your world And your lungs may fill with sorrow As you breathe What begins as grins that simper Forms an iridescent pearl A smile that makes tomorrow A belief My love, my dear friend It’s not time to meet the end For I promise it will be here far too soon There is a room inside your mind A soft place one can find A space to trade December for June A space to trade December for June

Wonder 05:31
Wonder Without a you, there is no bang And the fangs of nonexistence Sink their jagged points into my soul There are no stars without your birth And the earth is just an instance Of an aeon spinning far beyond control We may travel across space and time And never be so graced to find A meaning in the mayhem of our world But in this briefest hourglass I see our future and our past A fleeting wisp of love where comets swirled There is a light that comes from nothing Though we’re born from random thunder Look underneath the chaos as it falls We are here, and that means something So when your heart is torn asunder We will wonder at the wonder of it all We will wonder at the wonder of it all If there’s nothing, what are we? Just a sea of startled stratums That can’t fathom where to go without a guide Out of nowhere comes a light But the bright blast of our atoms Forms a star casting shadows where we hide We may travel across space and time As the circle of our life unwinds We sigh and watch infinity unfurl But in this briefest hourglass We yearn for all the sand to last Until our dance becomes a cosmic twirl There is a light that comes from nothing Though we’re born from random thunder Look underneath the chaos as it falls We are here, and that means something So when your heart is torn asunder We will wonder at the wonder of it all We will wonder at the wonder of it all

Hold On 02:18
Hold On Shut out the world Let no light get in Everyone's trying But they're causing a din When the only way forward Is staying perfectly still And pining the life You didn't mean to kill When it feels like it's time to let go Hold On The light's always there But it's not what you need The darkness is warm It's okay to bleed Don't try to smile Just take a slow breath Focus your mind And ponder what's left If it feels like it's time to let go Hold On When life has just broken your soul Hold On There's always one voice out there Pleading Hold On

Thank You 04:21
Thank You Thank you for being here Thank you for being what I needed you to be right now As the colors blur my eyes It really comes as no surprise I should wipe away the tears to see you sigh I wipe away the tears to see you sigh You gently say to me “I’m here and all the shadows that you feared Have come to find a soft reflection in the night There is no danger anymore All your strangers opened up The final door to welcome you inside. The final door will welcome you inside. Join the light.” Thank you for being here Thank you for being Thank you for being, my one Thank you for being here Thank you for being Thank you for being, my one Thank you for being my one
